With every iteration I look at the "new" 911 expecting to see a fresh design, and see the same old car again and again...

+1 - really struggle to tell the new ones apart from the old ones, kinda boring :idunno:

Gannet,

I saw quite a few 991's last week whilst I was on holiday in France. The new design looks quite a lot different in the flesh. It "looks" a lot bigger than the 997 and fresher too. I like it a lot, apart from the daft Porsche badging on the rear.

Do it Kryton! It's the connoisseurs choice ! Will be cheaper than the turbo, more fun to drive, hold its value better and be a lot rarer!

I'm trying to resist honest  I've got a letter of intent for the turbo in 2014 and yes, costs with options turbo £130k and GT3 £112k-115k, I've already spoken to my dealer and he said the turbo will give me a softer ride however he would say that wouldn't he.

I used to own a GT3 some years ago and I didn't notice the hard ride then and I have to say I do fancy a 991 GT3 and yes they do hold their value quite well and given I buy my cars privately a saving is a saving.

Porsche had a stand at Pagent of Power, they had afew 911's and the new Boxster, which is a fine looking machine. Want want want..

seriously....im desperate to get a 911 gt3.....

either a 996 or 997 i dont mind...and prefably an rs model....

but really.....the past week all ive been able to think about is how badly i want one :?

pictures don't do these cars justice, have to say that 993 is my fav version but there's still nice individual styling touches to some variants of 996/997.

thought the 991 was bland when pictures released but was really stunned by the 991 cabrio when saw one a few months ago... that's where my money would go if I had to spend it on a 911 - incredibly smooth lines on the softtop :)

Tis easy. It's a bit fatter than the old one. :D
No doubt a fine car. Would certainly accept it if given one. Just don't think I will even desire one. Each to their own.
