2012 ZR1 Corvette Takes On The Nürburgring

Had seen this one from Autoblog, knocked something like 7 seconds from the previous ZR1 run! IMO, this is the only world class Vette worthy of the exotic status.
 
That looks properly quick.

Is it me, or does he seem to be using a lot of steering angle - guess the ZR1 doesn't have that quick a steering rack??
 
Interesting.. the chassis engineer is the guy driving the car too.

The steering ratio on a ZR1 is similar to a Porsche 911 Turbo.
ZR1 is 14.6:1 - 2.5 turns lock to lock
Porsche 911 Turbo - 14.5:1 - 2.8 turns lock to lock
