I have owned this car for 11 years in that time it has had tyres ,battery and new brake discs invoices can be supplied, I’m reluctantly selling due to health problems.
It is a really reliable car i would like it to go too someone who will take care of it ,I will be saddened to see it go .

You are £2-3,000 over the market value, though, even with the low miles.
 
Auto trader has valued it at £9,957 so I put it on at that price because everyone loves to bargain down .
 
My experience with AutoTrader valuations is that they seem to be on the high side. I have had my bubble burst a few times when trying to use them with traders when changing my car. However, there has to be a starting point for the bargaining process to begin and it needs to be at a level which will generate some interest from prospective purchasers. If it’s too high no one will be prepared to even come and look at your car. No matter how good your car is. Pondrew doesn’t mince his words and isn’t known on the Forum for his diplomacy. But I think his valuation isn’t far off the mark.
 
Problem is that the British public are generally polite and unassuming folk. Bartering for large amounts doesn't sit well with many people IME.
Your average person will not look at the price of a car and think "I reckon I can get that for £1,500 less". They will just think it is overpriced and move on.

To sell a car in 2025 you need to be very realistic in your asking price to start with, not ramp the ask up thinking you will be knocked down to a level you are happy with. The other party has no idea what money you will be happy with, so will presume it is very close to the asking and just look elsewhere.
