Hi,

I'm looking for someone to look into the software and general mechanical overlook into my recently bought z4 2.0s. I live near Loughborough.

Cheers,
Tom

Hi, if you’re looking for a garage near you it’s worth checking this section of the forum https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=4

Or go to Zedfest which is on your doorstep, then see if you can arrange with a forum member to give your car a quick electronic check.
There's usually a few who may be able to help you.
Plus you can meet lots of other owners from the forum

Hi Tom
I too live in Loughborough and whittled away for a few weeks about where to take my 2003 3.0.
After much deliberation, I decided on BMWMAN in Heanor
Good choice as far as I am concerned- top service, remedial repairs and good advice from knowledgeable BMW mechanics without charging the earth.
It's about 20/25 mins from Lufbra up the A50

Welcome aboard Tom and congratulations on your new car.
Though some are advising a garage, I'm assuming you just want an enthusiast to put your mind at rest and make sure there's nothing serious lurking under there?
In that case, getting to a meet up is the best and cheapest option, as you'll get honest opinions, without anyone touting for work.
Hopefully someone nearby with code reader will pick up on this thread and help you out.

I figured I need a few more posts to send PM to Carly owners but gonna end up buying it myself, for £150 you get full diagnostics which I think is excellent :D

Maybe late in the day but Bimmergeeks Protool is a far far better tool for E89s compared to Carly…it’s an android only app..being an iPhone person I just bought a cheap Chinese android phone to use it

Congratulations on your new car.... does Carly still require an annual subscription?

Carly is paid subscription, so £60 for an OBD and £50 pa for a license.

Getting mixed opinion on Carly as it's too simple for some people, but ISTA is not yet available for E89 as far as I can understand.
