Did you decide on the route? I don't know the roads around Dundee so have no preference over the options available!

Are we stopping close to creamcakeclarky's pie & cream cake shop :)

It's welll into town, but have no objections to a trip along. Hopefully the creamcakes from clarky will be forthcoming :lol:

I actually thought we should maybe convoy to the top of the Law Hill after the route which would provide ample photo opportunities :thumbsup:
 
Will be working in Aberdeen that morning so might be able to cross paths on my way back home to Glasgow... so if you have some approximate times of where you will be I will pop past!
 
Cool mate. I'm PM my number and if you text when you're leaving we could maybe catch up at the first stop, which will be at Brechin. Just off the Aberdeen Dundee road :thumbsup:

I mentioned after a11y's 2011 October meet that I might put a route together early 2012.

This thread is to gauge if there's an interest..... :thumbsup:

Provisional plans are as follows:

Meet date: Sat 25th February - leaves plenty of time between this meet and the Moffat meet in March :)
Meet point: Dundee - I stay near Dundee, and it might be of interest to anyone up Aberdeen way.
Meet time: 9.30am for 10am
Route: Will PM a proposed route if there's sufficient interest. Route is approx 90 miles driving, mainly twisty A/B roads :)
Finish point: Dundee

Let me know what you reckon. Route has been done on Google maps. PM if you would like to see it.

Making the biannual pilgrimage up to the NE Scotland next weekend - 540 miles door to door each way :? :driving:

Will be driving down the A90 to Glasgow on that Saturday - can I join in with our Landie :wink: don't have my Zed yet :(

Have fun guys!
 
The more the merrier :)

We'll be stopping at Bechin for mid-way refreshments. Could join up then? Will be in Brechin around lunch time.

Side note for all attendees -

Did a test run of the route today. Have confirmed an alternative route to eliminate the dual carriageway section :yeah: Bit bumpy, so we'll need to keep the speeds down, unless you fancy chipping a few teeth :lol: There are a few sections of roadworks at the moment :headbang: Hopefully they'll be finished by the 25th :)

There are a few stretches before our first stop that are long stretches of open road, but the 2nd half of the route more than makes up for it IMO ;)

Plenty of nice scenery for any passengers too :)

Looking forward to the drive :thumbsup:
