2012 Europe Trip In the Bag

At last got my Europe trip all sorted. Thought I'd set my self a task this year and do this years trip without using any motorways from Calais.
Calais to Barden Barden Germany
Germany to Switzerland
Switzerland to Toulon
Toulon over night ferry to Corsica 4 days
Corsica to Sardinia 3 days
Sardinia to Corsica 2 days
Corsica to Toulon over night ferry
Toulon to Avallion
Avallion to Arras
Calais to Dover
Trip starts 1st October 16 days of sheer Z4 bliss carn't wait! Been out to Alps every year either on a motorbike or sports car for last 11/12 years and still get giddy thinking about those mountain passes. "Bring It On" :driving:
 
Sounds epic! Of course, now you've told us all we'll be expecting photos... Lots of them! :thumbsup:
 
This year I'm doing the trip all on my lonesome "No one telling me to slow down"

i was thinking of taking the mountain bikes but thats ow changed, eurotunnel is booked in the golf number plate, it will be cheaper and i'll not put the miles on the zed - still not convinced :headbang:

hats off to you Mitchy , , been all around france & the ferries to corsica/sardinia have always tempted me , , , curious as to the costs ?
what's your budget ? £2k all in ?

i only spent £1200 last year

3500 euro miles will suck £1k from the wallet ? 16 budget nights £500 ? multiple ferries ? ?
costing up & planning is all part of the pleasure :)
think i,d be factoring in some autoroute action though , , some terrific tarmac for when you just wanna cruise & cover some miles

£900

Fuel
3500m dived by 30 mpg = 117
£1.50 per litre x 4.5 = £6.70 per gallon
117 gal x £6.70 = £800

Total plus a bit of spending £2000

Did 9 countries last year 4780 miles cost around £2700 which included around 240 euros in tolls which I should avoid this year :wink:
