2012 20i sdrive e89 msport roof issue

Hi, roof working fine at end of summer 2020. Tried today for first time and it won’t open properly. When it’s opening the boot isn’t going up enough before the roof starts to drop back and they are locking against each other. The rear window section is lifting fine but then the boot is only half way open when the roof starts to fold into it.. anybody got any ideas please or do you know of a bmw specialist in the Birmingham area.

Obvious but the roof shouldn't move until boot limit is triggered.
I would first have a good look around for any damp or moist in the bottom of the boot, especially the right hand side.
You will have to lift the trim carpet.
The Hall sensor on the right boot cylinder sees a change of current when triggered. So damp connector could cause that.
