Not sure if this is a repost...I read sometime ago that the Z4's last MY for production will be 2010, that's just 2 years left :( , and it will be entirely phased out...Then to be replaced with the Z2? Is this true? Also, why would BMW go through an entire model and body change (retractable hardtop, rescuplted fenders, wider front & kidney grills) for the Z4 for only a very brief 2 year production life? .........BTW, are the spyshots seen at the Nuringburg track are actually of the new Z9? hmmmmm

conceptual pics of supposedly the upcoming z2...

The bottom pic you posted is quite interesting and I had not seen it before.
The top pic has been floating around the web for a while.

I think that bottom one is photochopped. I remember one just like that for the Z4M with identical background.

Maybe??

After the debacile that is the E89 maybe they will and try to bring some sports car back to the Z line!!

By the ones we have now I meant E85 and E86s!!!!

News ones don't interest me at all either.

BMW are thinking of making a mini speedster apparently, it might be that they will choose to build either Z2 or that. I'm guessing they would be similar prices, only difference of course is a Mini speedster would be front wheel drive.

I saw some info in a mag recently about the Z2. Very nice looking car. Comes with a 1.6 turbo engine, presumably the one from the Cooper S, making it front wheel drive. Optionally has a 208BHP electric engine. How much of this is mag info is true and how much is speculation I don't know.

They grew the size of the 5 and 3 series by so much, they needed to introduce a 1 series. Now that they've done the same with the Z, they may decide to introduce a smaller, lighter (read sportier) version. Who the hell is always asking for bigger, heavier cars???
