It's time for me to pass on my E89 Z4 to a new owner. I have owned this car from 1,800 miles when it was a BMW management vehicle. The car was purchased through the BMW dealer network in June of 2012. I am the 2nd owner of this car since that date.

it has covered 51,000 miles since new, and is covering less that 1,000 miles a year. I have just upgraded to an EV which realistically is too big for my wife to drive happily. She likes the Z4, but it's not much good at carrying 2 grandkids. One grandkid was fine, but a second arrived 7weeks ago!

I would probably have kept this car until I wasn't legally able to drive, but with such small usage and its inability to carry more that 2 something has to change,

This car has a full BMW service history (which I will get the printout from when its interim services is carried out before it leaves me). It has had no meddling with the ECU or exhaust or tuning of the engine. It is a much loved and looked after sports cabriolet.

Within the last 12 months the roof played up and has had the 2 sensing cables to the microswitches repaired that tells the roof ECU that the clamshell is in the wrong position.

The private plate is not for sale.

modifications:

one touch roof module
wheels replaced for BSS as the original wheels cracked (as they do)
Roll hoops are paint dipped in carbon effect finish
front bumper & door mirrors PPF'd
rear valance is paint dipped in carbon effect finish
front facing crash camera.

'PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PHOTOS I'VE USED ARE FROM MY LIBRARY AND NOT CONTEMPORANEOUS (its dirty and the weather is pants)
if you want a video walk around the car, I'm happy to arrange a FaceTime or WhatsApp video.

Original equipment includes

FACTORY WIND BLOCKER
DCT GEARBOX
XENON HEADLIGHTS
in conjunction to all the other usual stuff that was standard on the 35i M Sport.

Mileage in the last few years

10th March 2025 49,527
28th February 2024 46,215
1st March 2023 46,215
28th February 2022 43,870
3rd March 2021 43,046
3rd March 2020 42,193

I have owned this car since I was 54, I am now heading towards 68. It has done many European road trips to Germany, France, Italy etc. not happy to see it go, but grandkids come first.

Shame you are having to sell after so many years, but sometimes needs must. It looks fantastic in that colour so GLWTS.

Thanks! I would like it to go to a new owner that would respect the car. So many wonderful journeys and tours all over the continent. Best was a 23 day tour to and around Italy. Taking in Ferrari museum, Ducati factory, Modena, Rome, Pisa, Florence, Sorrento and then home via Perugia and then to Pagani and then Milan and Monza. I'd keep it but you'll see from the mileage it's doing that it's wasted sitting on the drive.
