Thought I'd take a punt on this car - low spec but stunning colour - Evans Halshall - varied reviews on this company but I do know several people that have bought cars from them with no problems - can't show the advert pics as I've reserved the car so they've taken off the advert - what I did see originally looked all original and good - using their " move Closer " scheme - the car is being moved free from Peterborough to Portsmouth - you pay £200 but get it reimbursed if for any reason you choose not to buy the car so nothing to lose - they described car as in fantastic condition ( as you would expect ) - not a 3 litre but still a 6 cylinder and there is a remap specialist down here that says he can improve the output by 16 bhp which will improve the mid range performance so worth doing - the car has had 2 owners and only 35k miles and has a perfect mot history . Anyone here know the car ?

Hopefully Marlon - only taken nearly 2 years - waiting to hear that it's arrived at Portsmouth - the Peterborough branch have had it for some time and the price has come down to £9k - I suspect the low spec has put some off but I'm not bothered about Nav or heated seats - would have been nice to have sports seats but doesn't detract from the car - good that it has parking sensors though and bluetooth etc . They're already trying to sell me the Gap insurance ( waste of money in my view ) and an extended warranty ( depends on the wording - most warranties other than BMW are not worth the paper they;re printed on ! )
I know I've said it many times but these cars look absolutely stunning in red :D
 
Hi Gov, that sounds a lot of car for the money especially considering the little use it’s had.
You must post some pics if it’s as good as they say and you take it back to the iow :thumbsup:

I reserved a call through Evans Halshaw, no-one ever got in touch with me, I waited over 2 weeks... chased constantly, then just requested a refund of my £200. Very poor service... hopefully you have a better experience!

Oh dear - did notice the website stating sorry - car reserved after I paid the £200 and received an email from Portsmouth - will chase up tomorrow :(

Yeah I had the email and reserved notice too. They were shocking to deal with... didn’t seem to want my business.
 
That sounds like a good deal.

It's always a problem finding cars in the colours that weren't so popular when the cars were new, but you have at last!

Looking forward to seeing a photo on here. :thumbsup:
 
spoke to Evans Halshaw Portsmouth today - yes car does exist and is there :D :D arranged to view Monday - hopefully it's not raining ! they've already agreed to give it a new MOT as current one runs out end of April 2019 :D Fingers crossed it's as good as they say !

No not the one shown on stock page - coincidentally the one shown is a red 23i but not mine - different reg different mileage - it looks a different red as well - the chances of having another red z4 must be rare
