2011 BMW Z4 - Hanging Undercarriage Piece

Hello Z4 forum--

I need your expertise.

I noticed that a small piece is hanging from the undercarriage of my 2011 Z4.
Please see the photo link below.

I added some text + arrows to explain the position of the photo.
The photo is taken under the car, behind the front right wheel.

I appreciate your help on the subject.

It’s the headlight levelling arm Dylan, looks like the strap has snapped where it was crimped together, it attaches to the control arm and pivots with that arm so your headlights stay level under acceleration, braking etc.

Wow, thank you very much, I would never guess that this piece is related to the headlights.

I did notice that there's a connector nearby and the headlights are not moving perfectly when I drive at night.

Pop to a garage and get it on a ramp, just needs re-clamping or maybe a hose clip as a temp measure depending on what they find, quick fix so don’t let them invoice you a lot, 10 minute job.
