2010 Z4 35is with BMW Insured Warranty

" only thing I've forgotten to add " good one :D
Not exactly the worst advert for a £17k car but not far off :(
Put some effort in fella

Is it just me, or does anyone else instantly ignore anything for sale on Gumtree or Facebook - as I assume there's a scam somewhere?

* not saying that I've got any suspicions of this seller, just my own paranoia

Hi guys

Haven’t got the time to post on forums as much as I used to. Came from a Z4MR to this, and now I need something with 4 seats.

Would rather it went to someone who will appreciate it than trade it in! Only thing I’ve forgotten to add is that it’s got 4 MPSP4’s on.

Sods law... just bought a Z4MR yesterday and would have been very interested in this otherwise. Didn't think to look on Gumtree at all.

So wanted to say 'worst advert ever' but decided not to at 5.00am this morning.

However as I'm not first.......it's the worst ad ever!

However, its all spelt correctly so there’s half a point for that.
Nice colour combo too.

Ha, how can I improve the advert?

FBMWSH, Recent tyres (ditched the run flats), BMW warranty. Used as my daily driver and still is. Only reason I’m changing is because I’m soon going to need 4 seats. Non modified.

What more would you like to know?

Well you asked what more:
1. Number of previous owners and how long exactly have you had it
2. Options fitted as its impossible to work out exactly from the scant photos
3. Details of the "Full BMWSH" so that anyone interested can work out forthcoming expenditure
4. Whilst you say the alloys have some marks, as they are 326's are they repair free
5. Condition of the interior including the drivers seat bolster.

I don't think it's the worst advert. I've seen many many worse. It isn't the best, though, admittedly. First thing I noticed was the dirty carpets; this can come across as a car which is uncared for IMO.

This car has some major plus points so highlight them and make them stand out; it's a rare and desirable 35iS, the "top of the range" e89. It has very good mileage for the year. It is advertised at a very sensible price. The BMW warranty is a major plus point to some as gives peace of mind. Give the details of this. Putting "this is the cheapest around" can put some people off oddly, as it can make people suspicious as to why IMO.
As others have said, I personally have never looked on Gumtree for a car, as I associate it with cheap cr*p (that may be just me though).
GLWTS
I personally would get a new MOT, as a short one can also put people off. Remember that anyone can look up MOT history as you've given the reg number. Pre-empt any questions regarding what is on there.

Autotrader has only four 35is for sale today; the cheapest is £4k more than yours. If you advertised it on there, it would stand out.

Thanks guys. It just had a major service including spark plugs etc in October and in doing that the BMW dealer gave it a health check which got full green ticks (bar the wiper blades which got an advisory so I changed myself)

I wasn’t planning on selling it hence the MOT, I just get that when it’s needed, but then I’ve timed that with the warranty so I get an inspection and anything fixed.

Saying all that. Someone’s just said they are sending me a deposit so looks like it’s sold quite quickly. If not I’ll put it on auto trader next week as so many people have suggested. Thanks guys!

Good for you! I hope it goes through

Yea cars sold! Had a lot of idiots try tyre kicking over Facebook because I posted the advert there, including some who wanted to negotiate with silly insulting offers. The car was genuine, good condition (needed a clean which the buyer pointed with a wink because it was my daily driver) and had a bmw full warranty. Couldn’t go wrong.

Yet people still wanted to try and make out I was losing out by not talking to them incessantly on Facebook... first guy who was serious who wanted it bought it within 20 minutes of seeing it!

Cheers for all the help and advice over the years guys. Doubt I’ll be in another Z4 any time soon. You owners clubs make life a lot easier.
