2010 Z4 3.0 auto

Not sold.....can't say "yet "with much confidence.....all I'm getting are the mails with offers to buy the car and pick it up today for £10K.......nobody asks anything about it.

Car sold now......for the guys who watch the market..it went for £11800....seemed a very depressed marketplace...I would say I had no genuine interested parties apart from the buyer of course and loads of eBay cowboys
.

Sold in the end though & imo a fair deal for both buyer + seller .
As you say its a slow market for Zs so sellers have to be braced for a lengthy sale process

Cheers Andy...onward & upward for me.....probably start looking for an E85 3.0 manual towards the back end of this year.E89 was a good touring car, which is what we used it for,but I got spoilt by the 2 elise's,TVR & Tiger supersix that we've had......apart from routine running costs, servicing, etc we dropped £200 on the Tiger and nothing on the rest.....wife even gained £1000 on her Defender TDI after 2 years of ownership(we'll turn a blind eye to the fact that it drank lie Oliver Reed and probably guzzled £5K of diesel  ).........E89 depreciated £5K in the 2 years we had it...to be expected I guess but still not great....not sure I had £5K of "pleasure" out of it.

Glad you managed to find a buyer OP.

Depreciation is painful, but inevitable with newer cars sadly! You might have got more pleasure if you had done more miles, but that would probably have lowered the price - you can't really win!

I know I sometimes wonder why I bought a pre-reg 123d and lost £16.5K in 6 and a half years. but I did do over 81K miles in it! (Although the answer was because I got a car allowance and interest-free loan at the time).

At least I can't possibly lose that much with my current Z4 - it didn't cost much more than half that.

Still it sounds like you have a good selection of toys, and you can't lose much on a 3 litre E85, and the back end of the year is probably a good time to be looking for an E85 - good luck.

Answering a few questions,
3 previous owners before me
Heated seats
Sat nav with all the associated stuff
PDC front & rear
BMW warranty.....no
Tyres are standard issue run flats, replaced in my ownership with at least 5mm on all tyres.Only reason I fitted these was they needed replaced as axle sets and I didn't want pairs of odd tyres on the car.I'd used the car on weekend trips up to Caithness, driving at night, and we also did an extensive trip to Europe so didn't want to be stranded.
3 key fobs as I thought I'd lost 1 and purchased a replacement from Grassicks BMW,fully coded £180 and then found the "lost" 1 in a jacket pocket :headbang:
MOT was actually done in march at 41150 miles so not done many miles after.
The only service I've had done was with an independant garage that I use in Edinburgh(100 mile round trip, but I trust them)......they did MOT and were instructed to check and replace fluids in gearbox and diff.....subsequently didn't need to be done. Also replaced all braking components and Inspection 1 service.I've known the owner and one of the mechanics for a few years as they worked at Murray Lotus and looked after 2 Elise's I had......highly recommended and far superior to my local BMW garage(20 mile round trip).....don't want any of our personal vehicles serviced by a "technician" who has 1 eye on the clock cos he/she's working to a fixed menu.
If anybody has any other qyestions or wants further pictures just ask.....might be at home tomorrow as clutch went on my traffic van....not too shabby for a Renault though,2009 and just turned 246000 miles....99% me.

Hi Highlander

Can you let me know who your trusted Garage is in Edinburgh please?

Cheers

Just a smidge over 22K in 2 years wasn't bad going I thought Mr Tidy...for a weekend car....sometimes went a few weeks without moving if I was particularly busy.......I was kinda thinking the E89 was a good car...not a great car,if that's not too harsh on it!!
