2009 Z4 Sdrive 30i White

Who said i was asking you to be impressed with anything, no on. Gotta love trolls who have nothing better to do than hate on anyone and anything and be critical of others.

Car has 92k on clock and is in great nick both mechanically and bodywork wise. Wheels were replaced with the brand new diamond cut ones due to cracking issues, I was fed up getting weld repairs done and has new tyres. The wheels and tyres alone were £1100. As mentioned the original wheels are included with worn tyres.

Roof works faultlessly as it had a fault due to soft close mechanism failing which the whole module was replaced by BMW. Rocker head and gasket was replaced due to a minor leak and some cabling all carried out by BMW. Rear discs and brakes were done by BMW. Local garage serviced and done front brakes and discs. New head unit as old one doesn't connect to new versions of Bluetooth with original head unit included. As advised above it has heated seats, auto lights other than that I wouldn't know what was an optional extra.

My X3 35D xdrive msport is now my project car as it's far faster and will be remapped to 400hp.

I've always looked on forums such as this for advise when I've had issues such as the soft boot close failure that stopped the roof from opening.

More recently looking for reviews and feedback on x35 D remaps and tuning options.

I wasn't aware that you must contribute and provide value to other members on DAY 1 HOUR 1 with your very first post, I must have missed that on the rules section.

On a side note I received a recall on the x3 35d due to EGR issues and awaiting a second letter to advise I can attend to have an EGR cooler fitted for free to prevent the overheating issues and failure that the recall is describing

I never join these forums and stopped using Facebook years ago for exactly the reasons I'm experiencing here. Toxic trolls who hate on anything and everything. Couldn't care less, not interested. Nothing constructive to say then move on or, carry on being toxic trolls and presenting a poor response and first impression of this forum, justifying why I don't join these groups

The truth is that any car is only worth what the buyer can afford to pay, bearing in mind the potential repair and maintenence cost.

BMW along with other complex premium brands have premium costs, if you have to use a dealer or independant specialist labour costs are going to be over £100 an hour, so unless you have deep pockets it is crippling. An E85 is not so much of a problem costs are lower and if you can’t fix a problem DIY you can break it and not loose too much.

Few things wrong with this thread:

1, original advert from OP was piss poor
2, I think new members shouldn’t be able to post adverts until 5 posts on forum (just my opinion)
3, Anyone that buys a car debadged and not knowing what it is, is asking for trouble, again, just my opinion

You forgot the toxic trolls. :P

Well I must have missed the advert. I joined the forum after a year of looking and reading to help decide on the car to buy. After looking on AT and finding nothing local to me I decided to join this forum and put up a wanted advert. Got a reply from a long standing member with almost exactly what I was after, train to Sheffield, bought his car and drove home to Devon. Love the car. Since this I have spent many enjoyable hours on here, received great advice and enjoyed reading all the humorous jibs that are just friendly jokes between like members. Also met some really great owners at events. This is not a toxic forum and I’m not sure why you have come to this conclusion. Perhaps you don’t like other people’s honest advice, it might help if you lighten up a little. Anyway, whatever you do GLWTS

I see the hate / criticism still continues. Is all too easy to be critical of someone or something without actually contributing constructively. One might wish the forum had rules about not being able to post a for sale add before having x number of posts but the fact is, it doesn’t. This chap has done nothing wrong in that regards and is just trying to sell his car. All too often you see on these for sale threads that your advert is rubbish piss poor etc. again it’s of no use or help. Not all of us can make the most beautiful listings, if you have a genuine interest in the car and have some questions not answered in the listing, you just need to ask!

From what I can see everything stated here it looks like good clean well maintained example at a sensible price given condition and mileage. I thought we were a friendly bunch here on this forum but that isn’t showing on this thread!

Well that escalated quickly

The guy seems a little sensitive, if he had taken any time to get a feel for the forum he'd see there is nothing but a little tough love in terms of advert criticism.. Every poorly listed sale gets it here and most take it ok

Toxic trolls? It's the most light hearted forum I've ever been on.. Sure the odd post gets a bit heated and we won't mention the covid threads :) but most of us take it on the chin and get on with forum life, not spit out or dummies and take our ball home with us

What are you laughing at? Genuine question.
Sorry must just be me but I found it funny that the OP had gone to the trouble of finding and joining a specialist car forum but didn't know what the acronym meant.
In their defence I was in the same position when i first joined but a quick Google search gave me the insight I needed.
Hopefully that or this response doesn't make me a toxic troll - I've Googled that as well and can assure you I am only here for insight & laughs and certainly not to create tension

I haven't come across ANYBODY on this forum who could be described as that TBH.
Now that one I do know and didn’t have to search it - honest

Goodbye and good riddance

Alas it appears the OP flounced off without getting either this post or their profile removed so their legacy flounces on.
