A halo-effect BMW is long overdue I think, BMW really need a top end sports car that provides the link between the F1 cars and their sports cars (like the R8 does for Audi).

The technology on that car looks amazing, and the weight reduction is really interesting. The weight reduction tech is what I would expect to see trickling down to normal BMWs quickly with all the fleet emission regulations that are coming.

I want one, can anyone lend me £150k? :poke: :roll: :D
 
Sorry, but I've got to call BS on these announcements. There's nothing citing an actual BMW press release, and these announcements are awfully full of shoulds and mights (should be carbon fiber, might use the V10) to be discussing a car due for release in 3 months. We're already seeing test mules for the next Z4, which is over a year away, but a "halo" car being releaed in 3 months has nothing more than Gallardo-based photoshops and artist's sketches. Not likely.
