2009 E89 - AM antenna access???

New member, first post.

I have a 2009 Z4 SDrive35i. Came out from a local store to find my AM antenna completely snapped off. I mean, completely snapped off, all the way to the base, and the rest totally gone.

I’m going to replace the entire unit (I wish this ugly eyesore wasn’t even there), but for the life of me I can’t see where you access the back side of this thing. I’d replace just the pieces missing, but this thing is GONE and all torn up.

Is it accessed from inside the car behind a panel? Something I am not seeing in the trunk? Turn the car upside down and shake vigorously? ANY help would be so appreciated.

Replace with a 'stubby'. None of that 'whippy' nonsense!
