2008, Z4 Coupe - Headlight Issue

Hello, I have just purchased a Z4 coupe, quite literally 2hrs ago from a private seller, it's a 2008 SE, 41k it's immaculate - however, as it got dark driving home i noticed the main beam was not bright, when I arrived home i tested them to find out when iswitched from main beam to sidelights there was no change? The full beam works when I 'flash' but doesn't work if i put it on continuous full beam.

1. Main beam doesn't work
2. Sidelights work
3. Full beam works on flash only (pull leaver towards driver)
4. Full beam doesn't work when continuous (push leaver outwards)

Could this be both bulbs? Do both bulbs go out when one bulb needs replacing?

umm, sounds more then just bulbs.

Do you have Xenons or not (i presume sidelights means you dont have a halo ring - so no Xenons)

If the flash to pass works then the full beam bulb cant be faulty.

If the mains dont work (i presume you mean dipped) then maybe both those have gone (unlikely thought)

More likely a fuse/ wiring issue.

check the fuse (inside the glovebox for the fuse box) first. There is a fuse diagram card in there.
