Hey everyone! I’m exploring exhaust options for my 3.0si roadster. I’ve considered the back box mod where the perforated pipes essentially straight pipe through the back box but the remaining baffles eliminate drone and rasp. I was wondering if anyone has ever seen the glass pack style exhaust, which is essentially a similar concept with the perf pipe wrapped in fiberglass. I’ve heard these alone are too loud so thought of putting vibrant resonators where the secondary cats are. I think it could give the more aggressive tone I’m looking for but without drone or rasp and not be too loud if I got the quiet or longer resonators. What do you all think? Dumb idea or go for the back box mod?

I had back box mod on my previous m54 3.0 z4 and was a really great mod and only cost around £100, never heard the same mod on N52 si z4 but probably sounds even better! sure somone who’s done it on here will chip in, and the back box mod is so cheap for what you get, have you got any pictures of this mod your talking about? Any ideas on cost? As maybe worth looking at a full system if it’s much more than the back box mod.
