2008 Southern Ontario Spring Z Cruise Saturday May 31st

Sorry guys I'm out.....

Work is driving me crazy these days.
May 31 weekend I'm headed out of town for my daughters grad ceremony,
it's probably the only weekend off for me in the next couple of months.

I'm going to try! My only concern is my 18 year old daughter might qualify for the state championship track meet. This has been her goal for four years now, and last year she missed by the narrowest of margins. (that resulted in 2 weeks of teenage girl drama)
If she qualifies, I'm going to watch her run, if not, I'll be in Ontario. :driving:

So everyone hope she runs slow in the qualifying meet this weekend! just kidding! :D

Sorry, I won't be around for the May date - but perhaps a 2nd cruise later in the summer - say August - can be planned. Seems as if there is plenty of interest!

Actually the avatar has nothing to do with her. It's just a logo from a band I like a lot. :D

...but i am VERY proud! :dance2:

4x100 & 4x200 relays

So I get to drive 3 hours, sit in the stands for 6 hours to see her run 30 seconds!

She does 10 second 100m & 20 second 200m (albeit with a running start) - Worlds and Olympics next!

I was on the second best 4X100m provincial team in 1975. Kept coming second to a school that produced a Canadian 1976 Olympian 100m relay participant named Hugh Spooner and a former CFL'r named Mike Collymore...

How about some track picks from the state championships!

Thinking of changing the route from NOTL (heavy traffic on summer weekends and scenic but less than thrilling route) over to a cruise that will include three fun roads/routes:

Start in Brantford (as planned)

Blue Lake/East river roads from Paris to Cambridge

Lunch Spot Acton

Forks of the Credit

Hockley Road

Finish Bolton

185km

Any thoughts?

Tested the route yesterday - Good fun! Forks of the credit has some Dragon like attributes. Have decided to Lunch in Orangeville (same as last year) based on driving time and ETA 12:00. There are a number of options for lunch, however the Montana's will likely be the spot.
