2008 E85 Squeaking Top when down?

Hello everyone!
This spring I picked up a 2008 3.0SI with about 120K. It is a daily driver and it has developed an annoying squeaking noise which seems to be coming from the convertible top, behind the headrests... It happens at low and high speeds, primarily when going over bumps. This happens even when the road is good and not full of potholes or uneven pavement. To be clear, it only seems to happen when the top is down. Has anyone had this issue and if so, how can I solve the issue? Thanks for the help!

I have some squeak on my pre facelift 2004 car.
Seems that the sound is coming from the middle or passenger side, behind the seats around wind deflector. I don't know if it is the same squeak. I have it since I bought the car 4 years ago.

Also seems to happen when the top is down.

I found the squeaking noise to come from the plastic tray the roof is stowed in. It is the little side flaps that have a spring on them. I have added some felt to the sides of the flaps where the springs touch and also underneath (think like sound deadening). This seems to have cured the issue.
