Back on topic, the 987.2 cars are a much safer bet. Especially the S models because IIRC they engineered out the troublesome IMS in the DFI engine which also has a bit more power. The interior plastics are far nicer too, Black instead of grey and the PCM was improved. They also have better exterior styling. One thing to note over your E89 is the interior is rather cramped, in fact it's more cramped than an E85 never mind the E89. For me Sports seats and Sports steering wheel are a must. The standard ones aren't great, a bit like the E85 really.

The car is in very good spec with heated sport seats and sport chrono pkg. Bose sound. Self dimming mirrors and rain sense wipers. Bi-Xenon headlamps and ooooh that sound. California car with not a scratch and good service history. Baring anything big found on the 3 hour $560 PPI I will be having her transported home in the coming weeks.

The last thing about this is crazy, quite the opposite. A car in this condition and mileage makes the most sense imho. Take away the better looks, the better interior, a slightly better chassis, of, say the 718 and in the real world this car you’ve bought will do 90% of the 718 but without the expense of the purchase price. A damn fine car that you’ll hopefully enjoy and can use it to its full extent rather than 50% of it before running out of road, then sell it on if desired for very little loss. It’s a smart choice and tbh one I should make rather than wanting bigger and better all the time. Enjoy.

Thank you for the support. It is my 1st Porsche and I wanted it to be a good experience... much like my 3L E89 has been. I'll have 2 great sport cars. And if I sell a car I can keep my wife
Money wise this is 1/2 or 1/3 the money of the 718s
And I try to stay reminded that it is more fun to drive a slow car fast than to drive a fast car slow. Still 295 hp is nothing to sneeze at :lol:

I understand the sentiment but I have a bad back and will be enjoying the car in short 2-3 hour intervals on glorious local mountain roads when it arrives.
This Euro spec bumper you speak of looks more like a rear clip than a bumper :roll:
