2008 (07 Reg) Sapphire Black 2.5i Sport. 79 k. £4,500
I’ve owned this car for just about a year, always wanted one and have really enjoyed scratching the itch. Currently don’t have the space/time with a new house renovation on my hands.
I’ve had a few of the key bits of work done that were required to futureproof the car, with its ridiculously smooth 6-cylinder n52. I think I’ve priced it fairly, given the current market, has a decent spec, low ish mileage and is in good mechanical condition without being show piece quality on the paint work.
Spec:
-Black top n52 2.5i – runs perfectly
-6 speed gearbox
-Full factory sports spec, no modifications
-Sport spec suspension
-Heated leather Msport seats (black)
-Parking sensors
-Leather multifunction Msport steering wheel
-Brushed aluminium dash
-2 x cupholders
-Ice cold aircon and climate control
-Auto dim mirror
-Auto lights
-Auto wipers
-Factory wind deflector
-Business CD with aux in
-18” MV2 Wheels with 4 x continental winter contact tyres, 5 mm tread all round
-2 x keys, which remotely drop the roof
History:
-Full service history, serviced annually
-Roof motor located to boot by previous owner – very tidy job, motor is spotless
In the last year:
-Serviced when I bought it Autumn 2021, I then completed an interim oil and filter change in June 2022
-Front left suspension swing arm replaced this year
-Front brake pads and left calliper replaced this year
-New pieburg electric water pump and thermostat this year
-Bonnet emblem
-Bumper side support clips
-Roof washed and treated with autoglym kit
Good points:
-Full service history
-Mechanically solid, good to go and have fun with straight away
-All electricals and peripherals working perfectly – no dash lights etc.
-Roof in great condition
-Factory tool roll, warning triangle, first aid box (no kit) and 2 keys
-Bluetooth thingy that plugs into the aux included
-Roof fabric kit and some spare oil from change included
Bad points:
-Wheel roundels faded
-Few minor paint scuffs
-Minor repair to wind deflector mesh done by previous owner
-Paint repair on part of front bumper by previous owner – could be re-done better
