Hi All,

You'll notice my low post count, reflecting the number of issues / questions I've had with the car since I purchased off another member here early last year (the reason I joined!).

You can find more photos of the car here: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/bmw/z4-roadster/2007-bmw-z4m-roadster/5870486 Car is based in Camberley, Surrey.

It's been a fantastic car, but as a third car in the family, Dad taxi duties with my three mean I'm using it far less than I hoped. It's been very well looked after (hand washed / waxed, sonus leather treatment etc) and is garaged when not in use - it still smells new inside. I purchased it from someone here who'd also taken great care of it. The only thing that may need doing in light of Brexit is replacing the Euro badged number plates! :D

I don't see any surge in the ///MR market since you bought the car so that's a hopeful ask in the current climate :? Many cars on the market have been sat months which generally means one thing :? Low demand or high price :?
Guess if you are in no rush then it does no harm trying it at top money but if you want it gone I suspect a decent drop in ask may see some interest

Was the service in 2009 including the brake fluid which was due then?

Thanks for the feedback, it's had it's inspection 2 in my care (which reflected when I purchased) and importantly it's now summer (well apparently summer).

I've priced it against what I've seen on the market (including here). If you've got a pragmatic suggestion re: price, please share

Edit to add - 2009 service did include brake fluid.

I don't see service work adding true value , it does add appeal & attracts potential buyers in the knowledge they won't have to stump up anytime soon for a biggie
The car will value itself , I dare say if closer to £15k a dealer may be tempted but £17500 is strong for a private sale even with a "lowish" 40k on
Hope you prove me wrong & show the market turning

Thanks for the feedback / advice - price is a tough one as similar cars are being marketed at £19k+ and there are only 4 for sale privately of any age / mileage. It seemed a sensible starting point looking at the spread for sale currently.

I'm in the nice position of not being in any hurry as it's a toy rather than something I need :) I can at least tell my wife I tried to sell it

Lovely looking car indeed - the colour i'm after ideally;
but would have to agree with comments above... just too pricey for me!

GLWTS.

That is a lovely example for sure
I also agree it seems steeply priced though . A black ///M with simular mileage came on the forum today for £14k plus there is another grey one on Autotrader (higher mileage at 62K) at £12750 :?

I paid £15.5k for mine 2 years ago, in April, on 24k miles, private sale on here. Pvr will tell you it's just being rented, and I did get a good deal, but the asking price was £16k IIRC. Just for comparison. Not sure MR prices have appreciated significantly outside of seasonal changes. It's a lovely car and I hope you get the asking price, but remember there's a search function on here and the original fs post can be found along with the previous owner, who is still active.

I would hold out, with so few on the market its hard to do a price comparison.

I paid about £16,200 (from a dealer) for mine 3 years ago, its a 2007 with all the bits, it was sat at 22,000 miles with FBMWSH. This also included the hardtop, hardtop cover and the bits that cover the sides when the roof is down. The car as now done 28,000 miles and I would like to think its worth what I paid.
