I had a 530d sport and an m3 simultaneously - albeit an e46. tbh they're totally different cars, the 530 was comfortable and pretty frugal but it wafted along, never really felt it was going v quickly, even when it was.

if you need a car to cover vast distances whilst talking sales figures on the hands' free, it's a decent proposition; but, it is boring... :)
