So basically not sold, I sold the motorbike for more money than I was asking :roll: I was initially asking £5300 for the bike but two people wanted it and I ended up getting £6500 last night you couldn’t make it up but one upped the offer and the other matched it and was at mine viewing it so he got it …that has eased the pressure to sell the car, however I have a serious local buyer who has first option on it so I have taken down adverts and will only sell to him unless he buys a different car which is a possibility.

Lot of value there - honestly thought I wouldn't see one of these up for under £5,000 simply because of how they look and how engaging they are to drive.

I sold mine at the end of last month - advertised it on here and the E86 Facebook group. It went the same day to someone on the Facebook group so might be worth you looking at that if you haven't already. GLWTS

I just saw another pop up online just like mine at £4k I thought flipping heck that’s cheap 132,000 miles so I read the advert and it’s a cat N and intermittent electrical issues after going into floodwater, it also has one key, certainly makes mine look cheap

Tell me about it! I cannot understand how the market is so bad. Looking at the dross for sale near me for under £3k, a Z4C at £4k should be flying away!

It isn't bonkers, the market is just 're-aligning' to pre-covid levels. In the last two-three years the used car market (as with other markets) have been 'bonkers'. Used cars (and other things) have been at artificially high prices, which is easy to get used to.

It is taking a while for the market to re-adjust, driven, IMO by the trade (who really want the market prices to stay bouyant for obvious reasons).
The market just isn't there anymore for these cars at the prices being asked.
Sorry, but we have all had it too good for too long and now it is coming down with a bang.
The market will decide prices, not the seller. Problem is, many sellers refuse to believe the market has fallen and rather hold out for deluded money than actually sell. This is a sign of many people not 'needing' to sell, just wanting to.

I do honestly think that the car in question isn't overpriced but it has become 'stuck'. This happens with houses a lot.
