2007 Z4 Coupe - Tall Drivers?

Hello everyone, any 6'4" or taller Z4 Coupe drivers here? If so could you chime in and let me know how the headroom is in your hardtop coupe? I'm looking to acquire a Z4 Coupe but they are very hard to find in my area and might have to travel quite aways to test fit one of these cars. So, hoow are these cars as far as leg room and head room for taller drivers?

Hi there! Head room is fine, it's the left leg which hasn't got a lot of space as the dash curves down towards the transmission tunnel. It took a bit of experimenting to get the right position but it's still snug. I am only 6'3 and a half though:)
 
Thanks for the reply! I assume you are referring to a right hand drive version correct? I've heard these cars require a little finesse to get into.
 
I'm only 5'7 but I was thinking about this on my drive home yesterday, with the seat all the way to the floor I was like one of those old grannies who cant see over the steering wheel!

Put the seat all the way back and I can barely reach the pedals..

I know this isnt all that helpful but as a little guy I get back pain after about an hour of driving sat high up :(
 
6'3" here with a Coupe. Left leg is the problem area, as long as you put the seat all the way down, all the way back, and lean it back, you'll not have any headroom issues. Leg room, at this height it doesn't feel like quite so much of a sports car as your knees are quite high when compared with something like an Elise. I've come from a Roadster and roof up the Coupe has a smidge more headroom I'd say, so if a Roadster is easier to find, try one of those first. Legroom etc is identical.

Yes right hand drive. When I first got the Z it took me a couple of weeks to sort out the best driving position for me. At first I put the seat as low as possible. The base of the seat can be electrically adjusted from the front lip of the seat and the rear of the seat. After some experimentation I now have the rear of the base of the seat dropped to it's lowest point and the front lip raised. I also don't have the whole seat too far back as the rear bulk head is very close to the back of the back rest and I couldn't get the back rest reclined enough. So I suppose what I'm trying to say is that the seat right down as far as it can go and far back wasn't the best option for me. I am very happy with the snug driving position now though :driving:
 
seldom can I stick 1 finger up to tall people, but haha I have no issues at all in my zed, my legs fit perfectly and I have plenty of head space :rofl:
 
Not sure if a coupe has the same room as a roadster but for what it's worth I fit fine in to my roadster and I'm 6'7" :D

And I'd imagine room for some cabin luggage behind the seat too :wink:

I found getting in a roadster harder (roof up) than a coupe. Hence owning a coupe!
 
I'm a mere 6'1" and getting in & out (coupe) not a problem. What is a pain:

I would like to be able to get the pedals another inch further away (especially if I'm in anything other than completely flat shoes).
I'm a size 10 shoe and my shoes often hit the top of the footwell. If your shoes are like boats this could be a big problem.
Because of the angle of your eyes to the rear view mirror you can't see anything above headlights of the car behind.

If I was much taller I'd be more inclined to get a 6 series or M3.
