Hi All,

Just taken delivery of my 2007 Z4 Coupe 3.0 SI and I thought the first port of call would be here to see who's doing what to theirs.

First mod is going to be springs as the gap is just big for my liking.....which is best? Looking for 30 - 40mm drop ideally.....anyone done this recently? I understand the M Tech shocks can handle this level of drop?

Second is to change the exhaust from CAT back.....called Miltek and they do not produce for the Z4 and they actually recommended posting on a forum for ideas? which was good of them. Eisenmann keep cropping up.....any good? anyone have one fitted?

Thanks in advance, and I know these questions have been done to death already so apologies.

Jamie

Thanks!

Thought I would wait untill I make some changes as it looks like any other standard Z4C at the mo.....

Welcome, Jamie.

First off, I always say to live with the car for a little while, sort what you think it needs.

If you want to drop it, Eibachs seem to be the best / most popular springs - that's 30mm off of standard height, but remember yours is 15mm lower already, so whatever the drop -15mm. H&R offer a total of 40mm, but feedback has not been great. I think below the Eibachs and you start to run into trouble getting the car around urban obstacles!

I have an Eisenmann and frickin' love it, but I have the M54 engine. You have a slight issue, the setup of the N52 engine means that there aren't that many engine side mods for it. I think Remus is going to be your best bet, and they do sound nice! Now come with carbon tips. If you have a look at the Eisenmann web site you'll soon see if there's one available.

Cosmetically there seems to have been a run on aero skirts recently, finish the car nicely IMO. If you have Nav then the Intravee iPod integration is a good one to go for.

Am sure I have missed a lot! Best bet is to have search on here for each bit and see what comes up.

Good luck and for gods sake get some pictures up as is... some of us have never seen a Z4 before :poke:

I thought I would post some pics of mods so far.......

Dropped on H&R springs with 19" custom matt grey rims with Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta rubber and full Eisenman Race system.

Not a fan of putting non BMW wheels on the Z4 but that looks very slick... i also thought that you had painted the bonnet in the first pic until i quickly and happily realised it was the reflection of the shed :)

looking very well

any rubbing issues?

I've had the odd rub (front end) on the arch lining under load but that will soon go once the plastic has worn but apart from that no major issues.
