So... She's going up for sale... VX220 beckons.

Here are the details:

Relatively rarely available 2007 Z4 e85 3.0Si Sport Convertible. 49k miles, full service history, red leather, heated seats, alcantara steering wheel and alcantara gear stick surround, BMW performance 'shorter shift' gear knob, fully working roof, well cared for and washed and resealed each year, rubber seals throughout gummi pledge treated every 6m, leather cleaned and conditioned every 3m, oil changes yearly despite mileage (usually less than 2k a year since owned), recent coolant flush / change using genuine BMW coolant, clutch delay valve delete, brake fluid change about 1 year ago, back box delete (sounds great) - but original kept by so can be reinstated if desired. Also has 'machine monkey' (Z4 forum) exhaust tips.

Recently refurbished alloy wheels - style 325 from the E89, with subtle spacers on rear for perfect lines/poke.

New tyres - Uniroyal Rainsport 4s all round. Less than 1500 miles use.

Brake discs and pads front and back replaced less than 3000 miles ago.

Standard spec; heated seats, electronic adjust on both seats, pop up multimedia/ sat nav screen, Bluetooth phone prep, auto lights, wiper relay cleaned of grease, generally well loved by me and previous owner, who had it for 7 or so year before I bought it from him; he works at my place of work and I've known him for years. He kept it well.

Overall excellent condition, for age. Some paint chips as you would expect from a 2007 car. It's not perfect but it's quite good!

Relatively new battery (2-3 yrs old), new headlight rear cover the other month after renewing headlight bulbs.

And I think that's it. Photos of service history on the link. Serviced at:

14k - 2009
33.8k - 2012
Note between mid 2012 and 2017 the car was unused and kept garaged and on trickle charge with monthly engine start up. (Previous owner who I know from work and bought the car from).
41.4k - 2017
42.9k - 2019
43k - brake fluid - 2020
44k - 2020
46.3k - 2021
MOT done in February 2021, no advisories.
Next oil service August 2022 if being done annually...

Check MOT online, runs to Feb 2023. Service (annual oil and filters) due in August but will only cost circa £200.

Any questions, please ask!

Sussex based…

Looking for £11.5k due to low miles, overall condition and relatively rareity.

Private plate won't be included. Will revert to YS07DOA.

Video walkaround including exhaust sound and cold engine idling, under bonnet, etc available on request.

The 325s from the E89 are lovely aren't they. Freshly refurbished too so shiny as!

I had an opportunity to take a VX220 round Cobham Test Centre.

Yes it’s a fun car, though missing many refinements & creature comforts of the Z (especially the roof), so only can suggest you really think twice.

If you’re buying this one, know it has been well tested by myself & my son with many smiles…

Yeah thanks, I agree it's a very different car the VX. Unused to use my Z4 semi regularly but now it's literally just for an hour or two drive out on occasional weekends so relative discomfort and the associated issues or experience of owing a vx220 is something I'm ok with.

Haven't seen that red one in the photo for sale actually.

Regards

I drive a z4 roadster si as my daily which does the job fantastically and own a vx 220 Turbo as my weekender, night and day difference really and both fulfill their intended roles perfectly, a great blend.
