Agreed. I should have spent more time tidying it up before putting it up for sale, as it is a lovely car. I'm still holding out hope that the right buyer will come along, before I have to take it to WeBuyAnyCar next week.
Yes it's what attracted me to mine, the engine bay was spotless and still is. (y)

Not sure what their pricing model is like on the Isle of Man but WeBuyAnyCar are only offering £5,290 for a 2007 E86 with 79k miles in the UK.

Your location seriously hampers things, especially as it would need re-registering in the mainland UK. Unless there is someone wanting it on the IOM (which would seem not), it is a PITA and added expense for a UK purchaser. Much easier to look for another.

I would guess WBAC are offering around £4k (the UK WBAC site doesn't recognise the reg).

Is there no option of getting the car to the mainland and offering it there?

I'm hoping bigwinn might be thinking of a trip to the IOM!

If he does he just has to take a trip over the mountain where there is no speed limit. Of course I'm not jealous.

Any excuse for a road trip

I'm not sure - when I put the old UK registration into WeBuyAnyCar (as this recognises the car) it came back with £6,115 without MOT.

I agree - the location is the difficult thing for UK buyers; it would be far easier if someone locally bought it, as it wouldn't need to run through an MOT (the island doesn't have them!).

The only thing that I can offer to do is to place it on the boat - which usually goes to Heysham but then the buyer doesn't have a chance to view the car. The steam packet (ferry company) does have a £180 return with car offer on at the moment, so that's a bonus.

Cheers for all the input.

Before parting with it. Put up what they offer you. I am sure someone would beat the offer they give you. Plus costs nothing to register it in the mainland. For other people’s information

Currrently WBAC would offer a figure around £5100. By the time they take in no MOT, cosmetic bits, it will be a £4000 offer

There is a place on the island that does a pre-MOT inspection; it costs £100 and they can take a look next week. I wouldn't mind doing this for a UK buyer.

And yes, if you want to send me an offer, feel free. I have had a lot of interest since dropping the price; I don't expect the car to be around much longer.

Cheers

Hello, agreed with others. A lovely car. Would be interested but I'm wondering how delivery could happen?

Hi Moossafa,

It depends on what the buyer would like to do. There's a couple of options:

#1 - The buyer comes to view the car on the island (there's flights from all major UK airports or there's the boat) and they can take it back on the boat with them.

#2 - I can place the car unoccupied on the boat which will take the car to Heysham / Dublin / Belfast and the buyer can collect or arrange pickup from there. I'm happy to give a video tour of the car or something, if the buyer wanted to purchase unseen.

It's fairly straight forward - but I appreciate it's another step in the process.

Cheers
