Thanks steven, i guess it just comes down to finding the person that a, wants it, b, is in a position to buy privately and c, more than likely is prepared to travel to Cumbria as normally i'm miles away from everybody.

Dont suppose you want a 2001 330d saloon ? remapped :) silver with black leather ? my sisters motor the last 5 years , mechanically sound/interior A1 but usual ladyscrapes on the body 8)
She's been given a company car & just wants it gone , , It drives well ,,,,probably worth the ask to strip & sell in parts , , £1450 ? seems cheap to me ?
