the forum knows this car though... some history. the OP himself came down a long way to get the car in the first place...

I drove 720miles to bring this car up to Scotland from Southampton, I travel far to get good cars and this one is no exception.
 
I wouldn't let the distance put you off as others above have said. It was VvrooomM's car and he always kept it very well and you can tell from the OP's post he is fastidious with his cars. If you want a Midnight Blue one you need to strike while the iron is hot because there ain't many of them.
 
How on earth does one keep on top of how many cars of the same colour are in the uk? Just interested curiosity really... (I'm also looking at planning a little excursion to see this beauty!)

A little bit of Forum detective work undertaken by Taz. I think BMW supplied the info. He's got numbers of Roadsters and Coupes made in each colour, with separate stats for M's.
 
You can't assume that any have crashed, unless you physically know of it happening. I've got another guy coming to see the car this lunchtime, he's coming from Glasgow. Apparently on here yet didn't reveal his user name :|

I remember this gorgeous ///M when it was for sale last time, then Steve bought it, I'm sure however far anyone travelled, if they were serious, then they would buy it, I travelled to Kent for mine, 2 train journeys and a fab drive back, We agreed a price over the phone beforehand .
 
Well the guy from Glasgow was another waste of my time. Turned out he was a trader and wanted to offer below book price :headbang:
 
This car is nearly mine's double, bar colour - even down to the plate. I have a suspicion that we share a surname! :)

I think the price is very fair for a car which appears to be in excellent condition with genuine OEM CSLs I believe. I was very interested in the car when Vroom sold it but was beaten to it. The car I bought is almost identical though I had to get my own CSLs ( around £1700 for a set of new OEM) . I bought the original brochure and touch in paint from Vroom :D .
 
The list price for a 57/08 plate for trade is 14k.

What are dealers offering as trade in?
