Good afternoon everyone,

Retired U.S. Navy and now proud owner of a 2006 Z4 3.0SI convertible 6 speed. Wow. Great car. Looking for some advice for a slight upgrade in performance, horsepower/TQ under $1,000.

No major maintenance. Just a little more than what she has.....which is enough....but who doesn't like more speed?

Thanks for listening.

Good evening...well here anyway...welcome along.

We need proof by photos that you have the car before we comment...just pulling your leg.
There are more knowledgeable people on here for your query, they will be along shortly... Did I mention we like pics :poke:

You will probably get a handful of extra horses with an ecu remap-maybe 10 or 15? But I don't think there's much scope for a lot more unless you spend shed loads of cash.
It's already in a high state of tune.

Thank you all for a quick response. I agree. Can't think of too much more to pinch out of this motor.

Great car. Fun to drive. Runs great.

Here's the dumbest question so far this year....I'm sure.

How do I attach a couple pictures of my car on or so it will appear each time a post?

Green newbie to this stuff. But this could get addictive.....Thanks everybody for the warm welcome.

Great things are about to happen...

This is my standard explanation of how to post pictures using PhotoBucket as an example (because it's free)

- Set up a PhotoBucket account at http://photobucket.com/

- Upload photos to your new PhotoBucket account

- When you look at the photo on PhotoBucket, you'll see an IMG code

- Copy this IMG code and paste it into your post here

e.g. To get the picture below to display, I've pasted in the IMG code

IMG]http://i671.photobucket.com/albums/vv72/PerryGunn2009/lakester.jpg[/IMG]

but in that line, I've deleted the initial '[' before IMG so you can see the code - the full line, with the '[' reinstated, gives this
