also just read further down its a CAT D, explains the price :headbang:

I would presume he has photo evidence of the repairs being fussy.

I have nothing against Cat D but would want full evidence or initial damage and details of repair.

It is and will be Cat D insurance write off. You can get it inspected and if the repair is to OEM standard it can be reclassified and removed from the register. It will as it is always fetch only about 70% of its apparent value.
Having said that if it drives as good as it looks and the repair is of a good standard then it's a good buy.

Just my opinion !

The car looks great...but it's a cat d,I wouldn't buy it but that's me.There are so many others out there to choose from

 I did kinda think of that part as a bit cheesy! Well, quite clever... but nevertheless, cheesy. Sounds like a greasy car salesman.

its nice and not dear - it all depends on what the damage really was and how it was repaired

never had a cat d (not knowingly anyway) - not sure i would either - but i suspect loads of catrs have had repairs that would have made them cat d - they just didn't get registered

to be really cheap - $6500 with the hard top would be my offer in January ....
