2006 Z4 3.0 Si E85 Manual - Silvergrau

I purchased this car just a few short months ago from Dan - a longstanding member of this forum. The car is a testament to him and the efforts he put in to bring it up to the very high standard that I was fortunate enough to purchase it in. With Dans permission I include the details from his original advert below as this most eloquently describes the car. In my ownership the only updates in addition to the below are

Installed Osram Nightbreaker Xenon headlight bulbs

Had exhaust clamp replaced and rear o2 sensor that was causing an intermittent CEL with code related to exhaust gas emissions.

Installed genuine BMW weighted M Sport Shift Knob

Single stage polish/refinement and application of Gyeon Syncro Evo ceramic coating (Up to 5 Years protection)

The car has been used for a highlands trip and a few drives out to Wales and the Peak District. It remains garaged and on a trickle charger when not in use. It how sits on 113,300 miles.

Reason for moving on is because as an afflicted petrol head I have developed a real itch for an e92 M3 and there isn’t the room in the garage for both!

I’m asking for £4750 Ono which I believe is a fair price considering the amazing overall condition of the car for its age and mileage. Any more questions please feel free to PM me or reply here. Car will be returned to its original plate prior to sale YH06 RXW. I’m based in Pershore, Worcestershire (WR10).

Thanks

Andy

Salient points and link to Dans previous ad below:

“It comes with a full service history, fresh MOT with no advisories and stacks of paperwork.

The car is kept in a garage on a trickle charger and covered when not in use. The dreaded water pump had been done prior to me purchasing the car (101k miles, receipt to prove) and the roof motor has been relocated to the boot. The car was wrapped when I bought it which has now been removed very carefully over the winter. The only areas that I had an issue with was the front bumper which has been resprayed along with the side reflectors and fog light blanking plates.

All the following mechanical work has been completed by The Zed Shed and done within the last 10k miles (I’ve only done 6k miles during my three-year ownership):

> Suspension dampers front and back – Sachs OEM
> Springs front and back
> New battery
> CDV delete
> Gear box oil change box and diff
> Cam cover gaskets and bolts
> Brake pads – EBC Yellow Stuff
> Brake discs
> Brake fluid
> Full wheel alignment

I’ve also had Continental ContiSport 5’s fitted on all four corners which have done around £3k miles.

It comes with the upgraded stereo and aux connection for Bluetooth music along with the wind deflector, leather arm pads on the doors, heated seats and gap tech module to open the roof with the key (x3). It doesn’t have reversing sensors or cruise control.

Here are the bits / finishing touches I’ve done or added myself to the car:

> Maxton gloss black rear spoiler
> LED number plate lights and interior lights
> Longlife stainless steel back box
> Gloss black Z4 badging
> Smoked third brake light
> K&N air filter
> Eventuri Ram Air Scoop (note, only the scoop behind the grilles)
> OEM badges front, rear and alloys
> Carbon fibre wrap to all main interior trim
> Gloss black wrapped roll hoops, steering wheel trim and other little touches such as air con surround for consistency
> Royals steering wheel – perforated sides
> BMW Performance stubby shifter
> 2 stage polish and finished with a deep gloss wax
> Ceramic coated glass
> Redyed soft top with water seal
> Gtechniq C4 permeant trim restorer
> New perforated handbrake handle
> AC Schnitzer Type 8 (pretty sure these are reps but very light) powder coated in dark copper
> Aero wiper blades
> Painted fog light blanking plates and side reflectors”

Interior pic (borrowed from Dans ad as just realised I don’t have one on my phone) condition as per pic with the exception of the new M sport gearknob.

Whereabouts are you based? Good luck with the sale!

Sorry I missed that detail on the original post. Thanks for highlighting. I’m based in Pershore, Worcestershire WR10. I’ve updated the original post with this detail also.

It does look good.

Personally, I don’t think the bronze wheels would be for me but easily re-coloured.

My great mate (a fellow car bore) lives on the golf course in Pershore so perhaps this is fate.

Always wanted an N52 Z4 after having 2 x M54B30s…..

I take your point on the wheels, they do look better in person but I would likely have changed them to silver or perhaps orbit grey in the long run.

This looks very appealing!

It's come a few weeks too soon for me, I will need to assess the mood here to work out whether I can withstand the domestic disapproval that would inevitably flow from buying a new toy car before selling the current one!

Maybe I'm weird, but I really like the look of the bronze wheels.

I don't love the spoiler- it's not the worst example, but I've just never been keen on aftermarket spoilers on anything. Would it be removable without leaving holes in the boot lid?

GLWTS, but not too much, as I hope to be back soon with positive action on this.

Appreciate the positive comments thank you. The boot lip is held on via adhesive tape from what I can see so easily removed if not to your taste.

Car looks great, MOT history looks great and that price looks great for a 3.0si roadster.

Irrespective of the market I'd be very suprised if that's not gone in the next few days - indeed if I'd not just bought another E85 this week I'd have already been in touch. GLWTS.

Ask your Mrs if you can have your balls back out of her purse!
If I want to buy a car I do. She wouldn’t even raise an eyebrow and that’s the way it should be.

Just get it bought man!
