Probably just less money TBH - my resolve nearly cracked a number of times since Sunday

I just hope the person who buys it looks after it for me...

PM sent - good first post for a new member? :D

Welcome to the forum, looking forward to seeing your new Imola ///M in the newbies section! :driving: :D

Certainly hope so. Was planning to start car shopping after holibobs mid september, but this car looks to good to miss!

My array of meguiars kit has been looking all forlorn in the garage since i sold my last "proper" car last year. I will be joining with a Z soon and will get pics up as soon as i get one. I am based in Birmingham area, hopefully get to meet some of you soon! :)

If it carries any value, I give my personal recommendation of the person selling it, Kev. I would be very happy to buy a car from him.

Thanks, I got that impression already from talking to him briefly on the way to work this morning, we were both driving so not ideal time to chat. It is abundantly clear that he is as particular as me with how his cars are maintained/looked after/treated..... :)

everybody's circumstances are different..... some people are mad busy with family, work, whatever or both in my case.... this year has been such a dead year for me and motoring, my cars spent most the time in pieces just because i knew i couldnt get out in it,.... luckily i get nearly as much enjoying by tinkering so it keeps me happy for a while. i do however understand the want to sell these garaged mostly cars, they do feel like a pile of money doing nothing.... BUT hell... no point having it in the bank nows-days!!

who-ever buys this car, drive it, love it, and cherish it!!!

Well done Johnny; sounds like almost a done deal  A fine start to your Z4Forum career. If it all happens, enjoy the car and take good care of her. She sounds like one of a kind :D

...and if you come to sell in a few years remember to offer Bing first refusal

hey, less of the congratulatory messages! havent even seen the car yet, although i dont really need to having spoken to Kevin about it, and seen his pictures... :)

going tomorrow to confirm everything and see the car. I honestly cant see anything getting in the way though to be fair....

I was umming and arring over Z4M's as it is very much a high days and holidays car, i was wondering about spending less, but knowing they have THAT engine, with THAT noise, and that it may be the last opportunity i get to own one with low miles, its got to be done. I had an E46 M3 as courtesy car when my Boxster got rear ended, and the engine was so addictive! The good woman really wanted a BMW convertible too but her mileage has dropped to almost zero since getting a new job where she commutes by train, and i have got a fully expensed company car with fuel card that she can hammer as well, so all the daily trips and chores are covered by that car, so we're selling her car that she can't really justify keeping for herself and sharing the cost of the Z4M between us which satisfies my need for a proper drivers car and her hankering for a BMW! So, thats my man maths sorted, it now makes absolute sense to get a 3.2 litre convertible.... :driving:
