2006 Imola Z4m

I'm considering selling the //M. For no other reason than I never use it. It's a June 2006 car and has a genuine 8,500 miles. Yes 8,500 miles! It spends most of its life in the garage under a BMW interior cover. Quite frankly the car is wasted on me and should have a better home. It needs someone to love and cherish it and take out on the open roads. I'm gauging interest and trying to find out if anyone will be interested in making an offer for it. It hasn't got satnav. Thats never bothered me. I use the portable ones with speed camera info on. I'll throw that in also.It will have 12 months MOT and about 5 months tax. The car says it doesn't need its service yet, but it has had 4 oil/filter changes already. I own a BMW specialists garage and maintain all of my vehicles to a standard beyond what the schedules say.

So:

2006 BMW Z4M roadster
8,500 miles
Imola red with black leather.
heated seats.
Pdc.
Heated mirrors.
Cd system.
Bluetooth phone prep.
Auto dimming mirrors
Wind deflector.
Covers for when soft top is down.

Should anyone who inspects it find anything they are not happy with, it will be sorted. I want the car to be spot on for its new owner, should I agree to sell it. I haven't got many pictures, but heres a couple.

Just please bear in mind that I'm not selling because I'm desperate for the money. Remember the mileage and if you want a stunning example of this car, feel free to make a sensible offer. :D

I think you should take it out and give it a fair old spanking first - I don't think you've had your moneys worth with those miles. Put some good miles in and see if you still need to sell it! :driving:

You always regretted selling your Toledo 3.0, didn't you :P

You may be right. That was in the days when the Z4 was new and exciting. We serviced that car the day before yesterday. Still mint and now has a huge 17,000 miles on it!! Still a stunning colour combo.
It was the beige covers that made it though.... :D
I do love this car to bits. But maybe I'm just changing. My hobby/business of photography has taken over big style. I can't fit all of my gear in the //M. So tend to use the Range Rover all of the time. Example: Both cars the same age. Both bought new. Range Rover, 98,000 miles. Z4M 8,500 miles.
But everytime I get in the //M, its like the first time and WOW!!! really difficult decission.

You said it has had the 4 services, but didn't break it down for people to see - i.e. did it have the 1,200 running in service, Inspections 1/2 or just oil service etc?

It had the 1,200 mile service and has had 3 oil/filter changes on top of that. The brakes have also been stripped and cleaned, air/filter checked. I am a BMW tech by trade and tend to overdo things on my cars.
I am the only person who touches my cars apart from the 1200 mile service. Which I let my friend who is a BMW service manager do at the dealership. Bit extreme I know, but thats how I am. I like things done my way.

I went out in the //M yesterday. To be absolutely honest, there is no way that I can sell that car yet!!! I'm in love again. My wife has nagged me for a week now. Saying that I will regret selling it big style. As always it has taken me a while to realise that my wife is always right.

SO TIME TO PLAY!!! :driving:

Now if you can get that M badge straight, I will be happy as well :D

I'm glad it is not for sale now it has been temping me all week and I only put a deposit down on a 3si last week. Getting it tomorrow :P

It's a weird relationship that I've had with this car. Work and other commitments have got in the way of enjoying it. Its a bit like have a wife that you take for granted and pay no attention to. Every now and then she takes you upstairs and gives you a good sorting and you realise how wonderful she is. :D :D
Well, Sundays drive sorted me.
