2006 facelift - cat c whats it worth

You gotta love these z4 motors dont ye . Do you find yourself looking at classifieds all the time , well i do .
Looking at a lovely 2006 2.0 z4 with no mot and cat c . Roof motor is gone and needs suspension work at the front . Thinking of upgrading my ole fella from his z3 . No mot and it obviously needs some work but nothing that i cant tackle . Im in @1500 but seller holding out at 2k .
Ive got the full rebuilt kit for suspension that i havent used yet so can save there and may be able to get roof working based on my latest drama with my own motor . Question is , how does the cat c affect price . Whats shes worth ??
Bargain or walk away !!1

oh and shes sitting @85k miles

You've already bid the max worth imo  harsh maybe but from your brief description it has few redeeming features :(
Have you considered a earlier 6 cylinder ? https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=103857

Whereas I'd be happy buying a Cat D based on my own inspection of it, and indeed I've bought a few over the years and had some cracking deals, with a Cat C I would want some photographic evidence of the damage and if possible repairs. Unless it was something VERY special, I wouldn't..

Aye was thinking £1500 is her price , my ole fella is 80 so want to keep him in tune with a 4 pot . Would end up keeping the z3 , couldnt part shes lovely kilbroney.jpg Thats my z next to it with the f30 rims

Personally I’d avoid. Not knowing exactly what was damaged would play on my mind constantly. You may end up with a real bargain, equally you might end up with a car that feels odd on the road or expensive repair bills if anything went unnoticed.

Tempting I’m sure but I couldn’t do it.

Tbh, I paid way less than 2k last year for a mint 80k 08 2.0 sport with a shedload of history and a full mot that had a couple of mechanical issues and a dent on the qtr and door, but was hpi clear. To me, that car is £800 tops

I wouldn't give more than £1k for that, I think it could well be a money pit once you start looking into it.

Also the Cat C would put me off and will affect resale if you ever wanted rid.

Find another car OP would be my advice.
