I have tried to trace it but not had much luck

2006-2009 visited BMW cobham for warranty work 7 times
2009 35k was sold used via BMW main dealer (so presume it must have had service history)

58k service was main dealer
Gearbox and last service was BMW specialist

So in theory it must have had at least 3-4 services based on your digging, if this is still around next weekend we might be able to strike a deal 8)
