Just to be clear, a car that I have wanted for a while has come up for sale, which is the reason for advertising my Z4. However, if the car I want is sold before my Z4, then this will be kept and no longer be for sale. Only being sold to potentially fund a car I’ve been wanting for a while.

Gearbox Oil Change (Castrol)
Roof Motor Relocation
CDV (Clutch Delay Valve) Delete
Eibach Springs fitted (New)
Wheel Alignment
Engine Oil & Filter Change (Genuine Parts)

RBM also gave the car a once over/health check and commented on how good the car was condition wise, even mentioning that the engine/gearbox area was very dry and free of oil etc which they do not often see.

Other Recent Work:

New Yuasa battery (January)
New Genuine BMW Mats (March)
Alloys professionally refurbished (February)
4 x Michelin Pilot Sport 4 Tyres in OE sizes 225/40/18 & 255/35/18 (February)

Inspection 2 service was done on 25/11/20 at 103k miles.

Gearbox was reconditioned and new clutch kit and flywheel fitted in February 2017 at 84k miles.

Had the car professionally cleaned and machine polished in January.

Bodywork in very good condition. Few stone chips at the front to be expected with age, but no dents or major scratches/grazes/dents. Cleans up very well.

Some original parts that will come with the car:
Aerial
Springs
Clear Side Indicators + Badges
Grilles
Gear Knob
Red Third Brake Light
Air Box
Original Wheel Bolts

This is a very nice example of a Z4, in a rare colour, with all the big jobs done, recently serviced, new tyres, wheels refurbished, and some nice extras. Sounds lovely with the AFE induction kit and stainless exhaust (it’s a silenced stainless exhaust so is not loud at all). Should sail through the next MOT.

Drives perfectly, no untoward noises/knocks/bangs, a very nice looking car.

Asking price is £8k.

Based in Portsmouth.

To try and give an idea of how Ruby Black looks in the sun (basically a metallic ruby red in the paint). Looks pretty much black in normal light, but when the sun is out it really pops.

After the spate of people putting up wanted ads for a 3.0si I can't believe there's still no responses to this advert. The only thing that puts me off the car is the non standard wheel. Other than that it's just what I want - but the increase in prices over the past few months means it's a little too rich for my pocket... :(

Interestingly, I thought the same. I looked to see if the original wheel was included but no.
Each to their own, but to me it stands out as not matching the car.
However, with that all said, I cannot believe it would be sufficient to put off someone desperate for a 3.0si.

It's a nice example with the right options, but having just sold one, I would say the price is very strong when the mileage is taken into account.

I didn’t think you could remove the steering wheel airbag & still pass an MOT test? :?

Ooh, good point.

Easy enough to pick up and for an original steering wheel and airbag, so it shouldn’t be something to put off buyers.

Good luck with the sale, I have a sapphire black 3.0si E85 and couldn’t think of bringing myself to sell it.

For me changing the steering wheel makes one of the most significant differences to how the car drives.

But, I am aware not many people like the idea of an aftermarket wheel. I sold the standard wheel to a fellow Z4 owner, but I have agreed to purchase it back from him so the standard wheel will be going back on the car.

With regards to comments on price being strong, this is in way better condition than the majority of Z4's - the bodywork is pretty much unmarked except a few stone chips to the front (and even then not major). All the common issues and preventative maintenance are done, it has a nice few extras (AFE induction kit, exhaust, new Eibach springs, bluetooth music streaming), wheels are rare and have been professionally refurbished, brand new Michelin PS4 tyres all around, full history, the right factory options, recently serviced, rare option colour.

A lot of history and paperwork for the car, reading through it is quite apparent that it has had anything needed regardless of cost.

The wheels might not not be to everybody's liking, but they are genuine BMW/BBS wheels and pretty rare, and would be very easy to sell with/without tyres to fund the more popular MV2's or 108's. But I have had a lot of comments on the wheels with people asking what they are and where they are from. Never seen another Z4 on them and not personally a huge fan of MV2's or 108's.

However, with that all said, I would consider removing a few parts (AFE induction kit, black grilles, aerial, gear knob) and with the standard steering wheel back on the car, reduce the asking price to say £7,650 - what are thoughts on that?

Anything less and I will just keep it, far too nice a car and I am certainly not desperate to sell.

Sorry if I missed it, but how long have you owned it? And how many previous owners stated on the log book?

I have had it 3 months - impulse buy and as mentioned, only advertising to fund a car a friend has for sale which I have been trying to convince him to sell me for a long time. If he sells that before my Z4, then I will be keeping this.

6 previous owners on log book, but technically 5, as I purchased from Z4 dealer but they filled log book in incorrectly when they acquired the car and it unfortunately added an additional owner to it.

It's a lovely example  In a rare and desirable colour, too. Oh and I'd keep the wheels, for those that know their BMWs they're a pretty desirable option. MV2s are bloody everywhere and boring :D

Just for your reference, I sold mine last month. An 07 with 47k on the clock, all the options bar stereo upgrade, N52K, roof motor moved and silver grey with Amarone Individual leather. My asking price was £8500.

A good 3.0Si Roadster - especially with manual - is a rare thing and in very high demand. IMO, the market is £6500-£9000 at the moment. There is a silver one on Autotrader with NO heated seats and he wants nearly £10k, though so who knows

One sold two weeks ago just as nice £4500, there plenty around 5-6k. Just saying It’s not my intension to down play the post.

Got to be joking if you think you can get a 3.0si as nice as mine for £4.5-5.5k?

Anybody that wants to buy one at circa £5k is welcome to do so, but they won't be getting my car!

Are you sure you’re looking at the 3.0si with the N52 engine rather than the pre-facelift 3.0i M54 engine? The former is priced a good chunk above the latter and they are hard to find at the minute.

Check Armscarf post 27th feb . Same car different colour, same mileage £4500, I tried to buy it but was to slow.

Yes it had similar mileage. But it was an auto (manual more desirable), wasn't an Individual colour option like mine, had bodywork issues that needed attending to, alloys needed refurbishing (seller stated that), it needed new brakes (again, seller stated that), had blue interior (not the most desirable), didn't have brand new tyres all round or any of the extras mine has. So hardly the "same car, different colour".

If you have nothing useful to add then please don't comment on my advert with absolute rubbish. Good luck with your search.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't being critical of your asking price at all; simply lamenting that advertised 3.0si e85 models have jumped somewhat in price recently, and it's very much a seller's market. I'd be very happy to buy your car, it's just that the current values for them are too much for my pocket.
