Having decided to give my headlights - halogen 3.0si chrome-backed headlights a good polish, i thought best to remove them to do a proper job, this is where the trouble started.
Previous owner must have had a little bump at some stage and in doing so broke off and lost half the clips for keeping the headlights in position, and helpfully replaced with a bent over bit of what looks like heatshield drilled in with wood screws.. This explains the poor aiming of the headlights & alignment with the bumper, plus why so much condensation has been forming - worse than normal!
The damage is repeated on both sides, so really after a pair of non-xenon halogens with the chrome backing, reluctant to go for the more widely available back-backed ones but struggling to find both sides for sale.
Thanks in advance for any advice (seen some repair kits on Ebay but not sure if any good) / items,
Peter
