2006 3.0si for sale £9500

There's 'holding value' and then there's unrealistic!

Mmmmm, I'm not wading in on this one as I hate it when valuations start getting pinged around at the OP, but to give you an idea, I had my 2006 3.0si up for sale the last 3-4 weeks at £7850. Same spec as yours virtually, with 82k on the clock, I got very little interest. Got a buyer eventually, but at this time of year you might be playing the long game at that price. Not knocking your valuation, just a heads up on the market at the moment :) GLTWS

Maybe its priced high on purpose.

"look dear, its for sale - its not my fault no one is buying it"

"I'll just have to keep it another year and we'll get married in a barn"

Ha ha

I was trying to be helpful, not flippant.

Just the sort of car I'm looking for, so I'd like to think I know how the market is for these models (new job starting next month is nice and local so I can give my wife my DS4, sell her DS3 and get a nice Z4 for myself as a main driver. Two months ago she got upset about my Z3 summer car clogging up the drive and convinced me to sell it!)

From autotrader within 60 miles of my location the price is pretty spot on. There are some cheaper and others more expensive. This car is immaculate and as it says its had a lot of work done recently. I have a price in mind that i would go to and i will stick to it.

There's loads of cars of all makes on Autotrader with an unrealistic price, they just don't actually sell. It's usually private sellers who think their car is so good that it should be the same price as from the local dealers.

If I was ready to buy I would be very interested in your car as it does look great, however I wouldn't want to be paying more than £8k. Same car at the dealers may well be posted at £9.5K and I'd be looking at paying £9K.

Private sale has to be at least £1k less for this sort of car simply for the warantee and consumer protection laws you would be losing.

IMHO of course!

Chaps,
If that's the price Ryan is looking for, then I say let him try it. He's got 400+ posts, so whilst he's not a 'Lifer, he's far from a Newbie who's come on here just to sell, therefore our loyalties should lie with him rather than a perspective forum visitor who's looking for reasons to knock his price right down.

After all, if he can achieve anywhere near the price he's looking for, surely its got to be good for all of us other Z4 owners... Let him fish for a buyer as he wants to and only when he asks for opinions on the price should everyone add their two-penneth.

Even if a perspective buyer doesn't contact him, they could be the one who's comparing his advert to yours and making yours look a bargain.

As a poster said on another thread a few weeks back, " We are our own worst enemy for driving the value of our Zeds down "

Good luck Ryan.

Car has a lot of positive but i would sell with the MV2's on & shift the 19's separately
Would also be braced for closer to £8k than £9k by the time it sell's
Hope you prove us wrong but that asK IS last years money & i don't see them rising in value :?

Obviously very dependent on tyre brand & tread but between £400 / £600 range should be the ballpark :|
