I am sad to say that the time has come to sell my beloved z4. I have a new baby on the way so I need the finances to move to another more practical car. I really do not want to sell this car as it has been amazing to drive and very reliable. I would love to see the car go to a forum member if possible.
 
Id suggest deleting the part re no test drives as it'll put a lot of people off even bothering to view, £8k is a lot of money to throw down on a car you've not even driven. I understand your concern over joy riders etc but I wouldn't be buying a car without making sure it at least drove straight.

It was my gut reaction to the advert anyway and im in the market to buy one.
 
Hi,

Can I ask, how loud is the exhaust with the backbox delete? I tested a 3.0 with a straight-through stainless yesterday and I couldn't hear myself think, let alone converse with the passenger.

I feel it gives the exhaust a much better noise compared to stock, I don't think it's too loud bu I may be biased! Can have a normal conversation easily though.

Thanks for the feedback.

I'm not sure what others do regarding test drives and insurance? With modded cars this can be an issue.

Does everyone just let test drives happen without appropriate insurance?

Well fully comp covers people third party so yes I assume they do but that's the roll of the dice I guess with selling cars privately. Hassle free is to trade in but take the hit on price.

Hi doctor and many thanks for the PM you sent me a few days ago (apologies for taking a while to get back to you). Your car is stunning, but sadly it is over my budget :(

WIth regards to the test drive/insurance problem, is there a business park near you that would be nice and quiet at the weekends, where you could let potential buyers have a quick test drive? Here in the Thames Valley we have loads of business parks and they are always dead quite with little/no traffic at weekends.
