2005 Z4 roof problems

Can anybody give me some advice.

I have fitted a new hydraulic roof pump as my old one was perished and after putting back together the roof will not shut. It makes the pump makes the noise it is working but wont shut. Is there anything I should do or should have done?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Check your Bowden cable is working and not seized. My Indy had this problem 6 weeks ago when they replaced my motor. The Bowden cable would not re-engage the hydraulics so had to be replaced.
