I have seen them just die of old age. In your case it may be that condensation has got inside?
I read of one person who successfully opened it up and used a heat gun on it. He thought it may have cured a dry solder joint.

I will open it up and see if anything looks off and try dry it and see if that works, it could be the loom as that has been sitting in a pool of water, not sure where the water is coming from, must be a clogged drain or something as roof has stopped working, the light for the roof is just flashing
