All,
I have a '55 plate 2l Z4. The emissions light has been going on and off for a year or so now, and the indy I used has finally diagnosed a hole in the catalytic converter.
He said he can't really weld it becuase of the position, and that there are no after market alternatives. A new BMW part is ~£750 (including fitting).
Does anyone have any suggestions? (or thoughts on a non-OEM replacement?). £750 is a lot more than I would like to spend (incidentally it went through the MOT fine last month without any issues).
thanks!
Rich
