Having a problem with my Z4 that I can’t narrow down.

When the engine is cold/warming up it runs, and shifts, beautifully. Once the engine is warmed up, especially if it’s hot outside, the transmission begins shifting erratically and goes into limp mode. Only code it throws is P0700. It’s had some small electrical issues, but always reads proper voltage, and always starts right up. It only slips from 3rd gear up. I’ve replaced the trans fluid and filter, I’m not sure if I should be going electrical, or mechanical. I’m looking into replacing the TCM but it’s difficult to find. Any thoughts?

If it was mine I would take it to a specialist automatic transmission workshop, for diagnosis first, I hope it’s an external fault, if it’s internal it gets expensive. How many miles on the car.

I believe around 110,000

What makes me think it’s just the TCM is the fact that it currently only throws a p0700 and occasionally MAF
