2004 z4 Air Bag light

Hi all!
My drivers seat was moving on the runner when accelerating and braking so I took the seat out to access the issue. It turns out that the three pins that secure the top runner to the bottom runner are no longer protruding far enough to the bottom runner to lock it as they are jammed in their housing. Anyway, I made a slight improvement but not much and put the seat back in.

Now the airbag light is on (red) permanently. I didn't disconnect the battery before removing the seat and associated plug which I suspect is the cause. Has any one had experience of this problem and know how to fix it?

Thanks in advance. Chris.

Yes - you disconnected the airbag circuit from the seat, turned the ignition on and tripped the warning light, or have induced a fault while working on the seat (harness, etc.)

Needs the light resetting by a dealer or Indy and if it comes back on the fault tracing.
