2004 Z4 2.5 SMG for Sale

I bought a 2004 Z4 2.5 SMG to use but now I noticed 2 things which I believe someone who understand the fault and into SMG can have it.

-1--- The doors/key will not open/work even after putting a new battery

2-- Car drives but it jumps gear to Neutral
I am thinking this might be a quick fix but i cannot find an z4 smg repairer in Bristol, so it up for grab!Car has Full-service history

1--Car starts and drives but after a while it jumps gear to Neutral

2--The roof switch does not work but when you try to use the CAR key to unlock the door, the roof automatically unfolds.

3-- Interior of car is good,
Local mechanic thinks might be ECU and suggest that might solve the gear issue and the malfunctioning electronics

Nice car you could try and get issues solved
Try Autobase in Chipping Sodbury if you are Bristol based
John is very honest and will likely give you a answer to issues and a cost to fix at minimal cost for a review based on my experience with him
Do not expect Dick Lovett coffee and cake experience, but reasonable cost and honest feedback

Nice low mileage example. I think you will be better off getting the issues fixed or offering at a lower price if you just want to move it on .

Have you owned this for a while, or did you buy it with the intention of fixing?

I ask because the MOT expired on 29/03/2021, so I’m guessing it’s been sat around somewhere for a while.

Yes, You are right, MOT expired and since the doors aren't working it will fail MOT. I have owned it for less than 2 month and it was intended to by fixed .

Nice low mileage example. I think you will be better off getting the issues fixed or offering at a lower price if you just want to move it on .

No, I haven't. I will do that today or tomorrow. The car is going for MOT next week Monday and it will pass because it has only be driven 800 Miles since last MOT

Have you resolved the door issue? It won’t pass if the doors don’t function properly.

Good news, if it gets through the MOT that immediately bumps up it’s market value
