Shamelessly copying from my Ebay advert:

For sale, my beautiful low mileage Triumph Daytona 955i in scorched yellow.

I previously owned a green centennial edition 955i, loved the bike, not so much the colour - it then took nearly a year to find this exact specification which was only available to buy for a small period: specifically, the later Daytona decals with the silver frame and wheels (the final edition bikes have black frames).

Very few examples around in this colour, most are the lighter shade of yellow.

Genuine crazy low 5559 miles, MOT'd a few weeks ago with no advisories so has just under a full year.

3 previous owners, the chap I bought it off had owned since 2009.

I bought the bike in August 2017 and have since completed the following: (with receipts)

Re-fitted original exhaust (came with a twin underseat exhaust) which required new number plate and tail tidy.
Full service (oil, oil filter, air filter, coolant)
Fitted new Michelin Pilot Road 2 tyres front and rear (basically still brand new)
Fitted genuine Triumph axle nut cover for the single sided swing arm
Fitted carbon fiber look indicators to match the original carbon fiber panels

The only maintenance I haven't got around to doing is a brake fluid change.

HPI clear with report from when I bought it.

The bike is in outstanding condition as you would expect for such a low mileage. There are 2 small marks on the fuel tank (I have taken a photo but you can't really see them) and a small scratch to the near side fairing.

Gutted to be selling, but I generally do longer rides these days so need something a bit more comfortable - have just bought a 1050 Spring GT :D

Note the bike will come with the original pillion seat and not the one in the photos (which has a Givi rack bolted to it - available separately).

Any inspection welcome, as are test rides on receipt of the full asking price as deposit.

Bike is located in Bristol/Bath area BS39.

Payment by cash or bank transfer.

£3250 ONO

Nice bike, mate of mine has one just like it, 55 reg (with with a lot more miles). He's getting a bit old for it now :( Bit like me which is why I changed to a Yamaha FZ8-S Fazer.
Good luck with the sale, seems a good price to me.

Thanks for the feedback. They are lovely bikes, a bit more forgiving than other sports bikes of the time (blades and gixxers etc) but my knees can't take it any more for anything more than a couple of hours :(

That VFR800 is nice looking bike, and a comfortable ride for ageing bones :)
I went for a Yam Fazer8 when I felt the 1000 FZS Fazer was getting a bit heavy. The 8 is a nice bike, suits me well but not as highly rated as the VFR800. That would be a good choice.

[ref]sure2drive[/ref] thanks, it's certainly a capable machine. I bought it with the full genuine Honda luggage (panniers and top box, colour coded from the factory) with the intention of touring with a mate, but he never did end up getting his licence. I removed the luggage and fitted the Delkevic cans (so the V4 could be heard in all its glory) and never looked back! I find my new local roads don't inspire me to get out and ride it, so it just sits looking pretty most of the time. Shame really!

I'm lucky, there are 8 of us old codger bikers in my village, so there is usually someone to ride with. I'm not much of a solo biker, I like to be with a few mates in case I fall off

That sounds wise! Having at least one other closely-paced rider to ride with is always more fun than soloing :)

We should probably let Tim get on with selling this bike. I've seen it in the flesh and it is certainly a tidy example 8)

Not at all, I appreciate the free bumps :D

James thanks for the heads up on the VFR - I did briefly look into both the 800 and 1200 options, but for a number of reasons have put a deposit down on a 2010 Sprint GT - mainly that triple engine which I'd mis having ridden one for a few years now (plus it has done under 5k!).

Having said that, it was due an MOT today and the seller has gone quiet :?

How many miles on the VFR out of interest?

Any engine that isn't an inline four can really get under your skin, can't it? The triple clearly ticks your box (they really do sing) so that sounds sensible  The straight six of the Z4 and the thunderous V4 of my VFR definitely do it for me! Mine is still pretty low for an 11 year old VFR at under 27,000 miles as I recall.

If you like a triple, don't forget the Yamaha Tracer. Friend of mine has just got one, a stonkingly good bike IMHO.
Good luck.

Sprint GT 1050 now tucked up in the garage :D

Price reduced to £3250 ONO (appreciate there is a very small audience here though!)
