£3800

Located in Canterbury, Kent.

I am selling my girlfriends 2.5 Litre.

The car has been well cared for and is in generally very good condition with a few age related marks. It comes with the quite rare Front and Rear Aero spoilers which in my opinion give the car a more aggressive/sporty look.
The car drives very well, engine pulls strongly with no untoward noises or warning lights on the dash. Private plate included.

The car has a very good MOT History record.

I have undertaken a fair amount of maintenance in my ownership to sort some of the more common Z4 issues.
Recent works that have been undertaken.

1. Roof motor relocated to the boot by RBM Hampshire in April 2022. Also had an Oil service, replacement intake hose, new oil filter housing gasket and an anti roll bar drop link.
2. Wiper Blades
3. Rear Discs and pads
4. New valve cover gasket
5. 6 new spark plugs
6. New Battery
7. Rear suspension springs
8. Brake fluid & bleed
9. Rear bootlid brake light

The car has only ever been used as a weekend car in the summer months and is sadly not getting used enough, hence the reason for the sale.

I hope the next owner will enjoy the car as much as we have. I’m listing it solely on the forum first before placing it on Autotrader etc. Please get in touch if genuinely interested.

Now on autotrader, which has reminded me why I hate selling cars :) . Loads of idiots/timewasters.

Would appreciate any comments on the ad/pricing as not had any interest on here at all.

Sadly it's a fact that nothing much is selling: due to cost of living and fuel prices I suspect.
Didn't get any interest in wifey's 2.5i either but luckily managed to sell the 3.0i instead.

This may sound daft, but I think it is easier to sell to someone who just likes the look and fancies having one.
On the forum we are all looking for the perfect car, or have one already. I'm not implying yours isn't perfect, just that real enthusiasts tend to be prepared to wait for exactly the right one.
With the 3 litre the bloke stopped me halfway through showing him the work I'd done. Said he didn't understand anything mechanical, just wanted to drive it.
So although you'll get idiots, you may also strike lucky and find someone who just 'always wanted one of these'.

In my case, he lives less than a mile away and has already asked if I'll be prepared to do any work it needs.

Thanks enuff. I think you could be right. The last car I sold (Z4) didn't generate much interest on here but it did sell to the first person who eventually viewed it. I think it's quite a niche car and as you say with the price of fuel a lot of people are not looking for a second weekend car.

I've had quite a lot of calls from Autotrader but you have to filter through the genuine enquiries. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a genuine buyer.

To increase your profitability and therefore make selling easier as you can lower the price of the car have you considered selling the rare and reservable parts separately and replacing with standard?

I realise the front spoiler is quite sought after and to a lesser extent the rear aero bumper.

I don’t think it would be cost effective unless I could find front and rear bumpers in sterling grey that do not require respraying.

I’ve got a viewing tomorrow so fingers crossed 🤞

Well just sold the car to a very nice couple who hopefully will be joining the forum.
Good news. Worth that bit of Autotrader hassle then? Glad it worked out.
